Scheduling and Course Selection

Scheduling Process/Timeline

Students in Grades 9-11: 

November through January: Counselor meetings with individual students 

  • Educational Career Plan (ECP) updates and initial course selection for the 24-25 school year.
  • Course requests will be emailed after the counselor/student meeting.

February-March Students receive their course request in Advisory and take home for parent/guardian review and approval.

Programs & Pathways Fair has taken place for the 2024-2025 school year.

Students in Grade 8

  • January: Winters Mill counselors visit West Middle (Jan 9) and East Middle (Jan 16) to help students complete Grade 9 Course Selection Sheets.
  • Please listen to the following link to hear the parent version of the scheduling presentation given to 8th grade students
  • February 1 (5 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.): Winters Mill Semester 2 Open House
    • - 8th grade parents/students:
    •         5:00-5:30: Clubs and sports available
    •         5:30-6:00: School Counseling Presentation: Post Secondary Planning in the auditorium  
    •         6:00-6:45: Opportunity to see the counselors if you have any individualized schedule request questions.
