Internships

Career Connections

Career Connections is an honors Internship program designed to help students explore career possibilities. An internship is a unique way to “test drive” the career of interest prior to making a commitment. This is accomplished by completing specific coursework in a completer or career major. Additional qualifications include:

  • Senior status during scheduled internship
  • 94% attendance during the previous quarter
  • 2.5 or greater grade point average
  • All High School assessment (MISA/MCAP) requirements met
  • 75 service-learning hours completed
  • Completed at least 3 credits of a completer or career major
  • Acceptable behavior/disciplinary record

The student/intern is guaranteed to set themselves apart from others by having this experience. Any student interested in this program is encouraged to schedule an appointment with Ms. Hollingsworth, Career Connections Coordinator, in the School Counseling office.
